MICHELE SUSAN BALZ - Lawyer- Susan comes to our firm with a substantial background in civil law. Graduating from Queens University with a B.F.A. and from Concordia University with an M.F.A, she went on to study law at the Universite de Montreal, Faculte de droit, where she obtained her LL.L. Susan obtained her Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants Diploma from York College, and her LL.B from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Susan has a background in corporate, IT and intellectual property law, and previously worked for Deloitte & Touche in Europe and New York, and for N.Y.U. Polytechnic.  She is the co-author of two books, and the author of numerous articles.  She returned to Canada and has focused on developing a civil litigation and family law practice.  She is a strong advocate for our clients, and is a member of both the Ontario and Québec Bars. She brings with her extensive knowledge and many years of experience in Technology Law, Intellectual Property, Contracts and Evidence, Media Law and Family Law. She is fluent in English and in French.

ROBERT CROSBIE (BOB CROSBIE) - Paralegal Candidate - Mr. Crosbie comes from an extensive background in motor vehicle accidents. He has been assisting clients with their Accident Benefits Claims and has earned the reputation of a "Robin Hood" within our industry. Charismatic and fearless, he fights for the rights of his clients until a successful resolution is reached. He is also an integral part of our Accident Benefits Department, leading a team of several paralegals and support staff. He regularly attends Financial Services Commission of Ontario Mediations and Arbitrations. Mr. Crosbie approaches all aspects of his work with exceptional interpersonal skills, building value into his professional services by working to secure the best result while being attentive to the time and expense considerations of his clients. Mr. Crosbie was appointed under The Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act on March 6, 2007.

OLGA LEYENSON - Paralegal - Ms. Leyenson is the managing partner of the firm and has over 8 years experience in Civil Litigation and Accident Benefits. During her career as a paralegal, Ms. Leyenson conducted numerous Mediations with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario as a SABS Representative and now a Licensed Paralegal. She has appeared in Small Claims Courts throughout the province of Ontario, on behalf of many clients, defending their rights. Ms. Leyenson continuously participates in professional development by attending educational seminars, courses and conferences with respect to motor vehicle accidents and litigation. She is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyer Association as a Law Clerk and with the Insurance Institute of Canada as a Student. Ms. Leyenson currently holds a P1 Licensed with The Law Society of Upper Canada. Ms. Leyenson was appointed under The Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act on March 6, 2007. 

MARIA IMPERIALE - Paralegal– As a graduate of York University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Ms. Imperiale went on to graduate the Yorkville College where is earned a Diploma in Paralegal Studies. She has since applied and was granted a P1 License with The Law Society of Upper Canada as a Paralegal. Ms. Imperiale brings dedicated and skilled workmanship to each and every case, with a personal approach to the individual client. She regularly attends Small Claims Courts vigorously defending client's interests. Ms. Imperiale continuously upgrades her education by participating in professional development and is currently expanding her expertise into Accident Benefits. Ms. Imperiale is fluent in Italian and English.

C. MELISSA GATTO – Paralegal– As a graduate of York University with an Honours Degree in Political Science, Melissa further went on to obtain her P1 - Paralegal License with The Law Society of Upper Canada. After working in both Accident Benefits and Family Law field, she has chosen to dedicate her time and efforts to victims of motor vehicle accidents and personal injury. With her friendly, yet professional attitude, Melissa’s clients have been assured of personal and effective results. Melissa is fluent in English and Italian languages.

KATERINA SIMONOVA - Law Clerk – Mrs. Simonova brings with her extensive knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Ontario Court System. Skilled in the production of legal documentation and correspondence, with keen ability to research and analyze legal documents, Mrs. Simonova excels in her knowledge of Personal Injury procedures. Fluent in English and Russian, she continuous to upgrade her education and knowledge by participating in seminars with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and currently holds a membership of a Law Clerk with OTLA. Mrs. Simonova provides outstanding service to all of our clients and surpasses all others in her support to counsel. Graduating from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario, Mrs. Simonova brings forth her honours within the Litigation Law Clerk Designation, along with Real Estate, Estate and Wills and Corporate. Mrs. Simonova is also a graduate of Stratford Career Institute with the highest honours with a Paralegal / Legal Assistant Diploma.

INGA ZAMBERG - Legal Assistant – As a former Teacher of the Kemerovo State University and a legal assistant of an immigration law firm in Moscow, Russian, Ms. Zamberg graduated from Herzing College in Toronto with a Legal Assistant Diploma. She is a welcomed addition to our office and is currently assisting our Accident Benefits and Litigation department. 

HARVEY DENNIS - Legal Assistant –As a legal assistant supporting our team of professionals, Mr. Dennis offers his extensive knowledge and experience with Small Claims Court, WSIB, Landlord & Tenant Tribunal, By-law Tribunals and Traffic Court.
